I am a writer, editor and photographer. My passion is documenting life and telling authentic stories through words and images.

As a communications expert with more than 30 years of professional experience, I have specialized in university communications, publishing, corporate communications and grant writing.

I hold a master of science degree in mass communication and a bachelor’s degree in journalism, both from San Diego State University. I had the great fortune of returning to my alma mater in a professional position in 1998, where I served as the communications director for the Division of Student Affairs. I retired from SDSU in 2013 and since then, I have been working on numerous freelance projects. I returned to SDSU as a retired annuitant in 2016 on a part-time, temporary basis, and continue in that role today.

I have provided freelance writing, editing and photography services for several organizations, including:
